How to View Hidden Files and Folders

  1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel (or Start->Settings->Control Panel).
  2. Click the Appearance and Themes link (or Folder Options).
  3. Double-click the Folder Options icon.
  4. Select the View tab.
  5. Under Hidden Files and Folders, select the Show Hidden Files and Folders option.
  6. Click OK.
